  1. Holy Wells
    There is a holy well in the Prish of Killargue next to that of Dromahair which is called St Bridgets well because she was seen at it. It belonged to a farmer near Killargue because it was in his farm he would not allow many people to go near it so it was changed to the other side of the road. Any person can go there now.
    There is a Spa well up in Drumran on the Ballingan Road. Once a woman came with a child which was all scruff, and she washed her child in it and it cured the child. People drink the water from this well because there are three cures in it, for rheumatism and chilblains and a calf's cough.
