  1. Glenboy was the name of the old school that was in the district.
In 1896 a new school was built in Glenboy. When it was being built the children were taught in the old school, and when it was built the old one was tossed and the wall was built round it.
It was a mistress who taught in it. Miss Hogan came from Mohill and Miss Niscon came from Enniskillen. The children used to pay a half crown a quarter.
The teachers lodged in the Post-Office beside the school.
The subjects taught were sums, grammar, english, reading, singing, history and drawing.
Slates and pencils and pens were used in the old school there were black boards and maps also.
Some old men could speak a few words of Irish.
