- In Carrán near Knockroe Ballyglunin, there is a big round hole which is said to lead to Poillín Leang in the middle of Ballinamona. There is said to be a big iron stairs going down to it, and rooms underneath having iron doors. The passage is said to lead from Poillín Leang to Pigeon Hole near Ballinamona.If you throw a stone down Pollín Leang to Pigeon Hole you hear a sound like Ding Dang Poillín Leang.
* * *Lios Dubh is in Lisiniska, Ballyglunin. It is a hollow surrounded by a round ditch upon which bushes are growing. It is said to have been used by Danes.There is a similar Lios to be found a quarter of a mile away in a field(continues on next page)- Collector
