woman of the house told him to take a potato and he would not, he said that he was after eating his dinner and that he was not hungry. But when he was going home, he fell in the door-step and broke his leg, and the Leprechaun that was in the cage went laughing and he said if the man took the potato he would not break his leg. The man went digging the next day and he got the pot of gold, he let the Leprechaun go away, and he was rich ever afterwards.
