    poor men were frozen to death and only 7 of them could be identified , and those (that ) 7 were Catholics, and were buried in Cockhill.The other 63 were buried in Fahan churchyard. The father of Maire Níc Ladainn from whom I got this information was out at the wreck and he says that when he came to the ship , he saw a man sitting on the side of the ship with his arms folded and his eyes wide open and staring this man thought he was alive and was climbing up to help him when he heard a weak voice from somebody being beside the man say "He is dead for hours , do something for (man) me".
    At present salvage boat owned by the British (god) Government are going out to try to get some of the gold that went down with the Laurentic . People
