   Boat Wreck. In the year 1894 a man named Thomas McLaughlin and his son was employed boating up sand to build the Cathedral in Letter-kenny. It was a calm evening when he left Rathmullan with a cargo of sand but he had his boat over loaded.My great uncle Patrick Green was standing watching the boat from Benalt. When he was passing Drum-boe point a heavy storm arose. He fought with the storm two hours and at the end his boat went down and the both was drowned.
