  1. Long ago in the middle of Winter over forty years ago there was a great wind storm. The hay-stacks with about four or five tons of hay were tumbled and corn-stacks were tumbled also. One family named Gallagher which lived in this townland were effected by the storm. The roof was blown off the house and off the byre. At last the son got his mother on his back and carried her to a neighbouring
