    times divide the difference and with hand-clap and noise the bargain is finished. Then the animal is marked;

    hair with a pair of scissors or by
    putting on a mark of keel? or some
    times by lifting a little mud on
    the end of a stick a putting
    it on the animal's back. The
    animal is then put into the yard
    and the buyer pays for it and
    sometimes the seller gives him
    a shilling or two back of what
    they call luck's money.
    Sometimes the people pay for
    the animals in the public houses
    and they get a drink and old
