“About forty years ago a crew of men were comming from Killybegs about ten o clock on a harvest night in a small rowing boat or punt.”
(continued from previous page)shortly after the occurance one of the same crew was coming from Killybegs at midnight. When he was at the foot of Spamount bridge the same five men stepped out from the old grave-yard lane.Three of these walked in front of him and the remaining two walked one in each side of him. They kept with him until they came to the head of Walker’s bray. Then the two that were beside him stepped out to the three that were in front and the five jumped over the ditch down the field and into the sea.- Informant
