    out of his pocket he asked the King did he ever see them before. I did says he many a gold sovereign it cost me to buy those for my daughters. Then he told the King that when he came to the bottom of the cave and when the captain was pulling him up he cut the cable and let him fall fifty feet to the bottom. When he had the whole story told the King looked at him. Well now, says the King any [sentance?] sentence you want to put on the captain I am ready to do it. Well, says the Irishman I'll leave that to yourself. Now says the King I'll pass a [sentance?] sentence on him that he was to be taken out and beheaded, then a big fire put on in the centre of the street, his body thrown into it until it is burned to ashes. So he was taken out his head cut off and his body burned, Well now says the King any of my daughters you want you can marry her. Well says the Irishman, I'll marry the first girl I released. So they got married and lived happy from that day to this day.
