  1. A long time ago not far from where I live they were peopled called Slevins. This house was called John Slevins. John Slevins had a cat. One night there came a weasel to the door and gave a little squeal like a mouse, the cat went out but that was the last sight of the cat was seen. They got her a few days after torn to pieces by the weasels.
    This happened about the year 1898.
