  1. The cure of the sprain is a secret cure and if the father has it, it is passed to the eldest daughter and if the mother has it, it is passed to the eldest son. Because it must pass from a woman to a man and from a man to a woman.
    A thread of flax or hemp twisted thin is made by the person who has the cure. The cure is made with holy water and some words known only to the person who has the cure. The thread is then put around the sprain.
