  1. When going to bed say:-
    "As I lie down in this bed to sleep,
    I give my soul to God to keep,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
    Bless the bed that I lie on,
    There are four corners on my bed,
    There are four angels over head,
    One to watch and one to pray,
    And two to bear my soul away,
    Waken now, waken never,
    I give my soul to God forever,
    God within, God without,
    God be round this house about,
    If any evil happens me,
    Blessed Virgin Mary and my Guardian Angel come and waken me".
    The following prayer can be said anytime while writing the letters I. N. R. I. on the forehead:-
    "Jesus, of Nazareth, King of the Jews, grant me and
