This story was told by an old man many years ago. A certain priest was called out late one May Eve on a sick call.

the woman over the bridge. He said no more, continued on his journey and when he returned home he told the housekeeper to put all the pans and milk vessels available outside the kitchen door. This she did. On the following morning she found all the vessels overflowing with milk. She ran to tell the priest what she had seen and he said 'Bí fíor agam go mbeadh sé mar. Do bhuaidh mé an cladhaire an t'am san'.
The above incident happened in a neighbouring parish.
