as 'Tom Doherty's Hill at Carrowbawn. Shortly afterwards Pat Ruadh died without telling any member of his family where the treasure was. The lady who told me this story believes that the treasure is still there.
Years afterwards when Mickey Ruadh, the then owner, was digging soil on the same hill he said that he felt the sound of gold under the log, and as he dug it appeared to drop into a barrel some feet below the surface.
When Mickey Ruadh told the story of his experience he had not heard the gold was concealed in that particular hill which makes the fact more certain that the gold is still there.
