  1. Tinkers go around from town in caravans. They have horses, asses, and carts with them. Sometimes they sleep along the road and under the cart. They are a wandering tribe. They make tin-cans and flowers and a good many other things.
    They do not stay any more than one or two nights any place. The Maughans and the Wards were the descendants of the Barls of Mayo. The tinkers do not go to school. They go around to a good many houses, and they
