  1. 4 When the same man was coming home from Ballyhaunis another night he heard a number of horses coming toward him about a quarter of a mile away. He was near the Knockbrack road which led to his home and he moved in off the main-road and stood about five yards in the boreen.
    He thought it strange that a drove of horses would be on the road so late at night by themselves as he thought.
    After a while he heard a man ordering the hoses and when he heard this he got more courage.
