    The took Sir Roger prisoner and sailed for London town
    As in the tower they laid him as a traitor to the crown
    Says he "I am no traitor but his trial he had [?]
    For bringing Germans and rifles to lonely Banna Strand

    Farewell to my native country
    I mean't to set you free
    But alas I fear I brought you not
    But woe and misery.
    Gods curse be on those Germans
    Who persuaded me to land
    They fled and left me to my fate
