    I was going to the Co. Kilkenny wan day and I went into a road...

    I was going to the Co. Kilkenny wan day and I went into a road on the side of a house and I saw a big black bark in the corner and he go up and dogged at me. I tould him if he wouldn't lie down I'd pull out me tail and cut the top off his knife. The woman came down and tould me she'd give me a piece of bread and oaten butter on it if i'd go out and turn the haggard in the sow. I lay down in the ditch and I got a pain in me belly. I got up and I put me two shin bones in me pocket and me head under me oxter. Between gettin up and lyin down I got to
