    could buy a seat for themselves. Of course there were some rich people at the time that could afford to buy a seat. The people of the parish, however, the majority of them wouldn't agree to what the priest said. So they held a meeting and it was decided to make a weekly subscription until enough of money would be collected to buy seats for all. This was done and it wasn't long until the chapel was full of seats.
    About that time in Caro the school was held in a barn and the teachers name was Murphy. It was a very wet cold barn and there were a big number of children going to school at the time. Murphy was a first class teacher and the boys and girls used to go to school
