    son, it is greater still. The seventh son of a seventh son could tell fortunes wonderfully, past present and future.
    There was one lived in the county about sixty years ago and he told fortunes by the cards.
    If he started telling anyone's fortune, and the Ace of Spades turned up first card, he wouldn't go on any further for that particular card denotes death.
    There was one woman who heard of this man, and she sent for him, for she was told that he could tell the truth. He came and he started to tell her fortune. But when she cut the cards and turned up the next one it was the Ace of Spades. So he wouldn't tell her anymore. A few weeks afterwards, he met her again and she asked him
