When a pilgrim visits the well he is supposed to salute it as follows:-"Go mbeannuighidh Dia dhuit a Chruinnightheóir Naomhtha,Go mbeannuighidh an Mhaighdin Mhuire agus na h-aingil le chéile,Is chughat-sa tháinig me ag gearán mo sgéil leatA' d'iarraidh do chabhrach cun onóir Dé ort."
When the water of the well is being drunk the following is recited:-"Siud í do shláinte a Chruinnightheóir Naomhtha,Sláinte na Maighdine Muire 's na h-aingil le chéile,Agus sláinte Naomh Pádruig mar is é do bheannuig Éire"
