Then it should be stuck in a black-thorn bush and according as the snail would be rotting the warts would be disappearing. A charm for curing warts is to steal a bit of meat rub it to the warts, and bury it.
A very much-used plan for preventing a cut from bleeding was to wind a clean cobweb round it.
When first the disease "augue" - a shaking disease - came to this country, the best cure it was supposed to be to swallow spiders eggs.
