When churning, the churn dash is moved upwards and downwards. When the butter is made it is taken out by means of the bottom of the dash then it is placed on a clean board. It is mixed with salt.
Some people place it in bowls and prints it with printers, but my mother squeezes it between wooden hands known as a trencher. Then she places it in a butter bowl.
