    1. Cure of Heart.
    Fill a cup with oaten meal, smooth it over with a spoon and keep a cloth very tightly over it so that the meal will not scatter. The cup must be put to the patient's heart, sides, and back three times and a certain prayer is repeated. If the meal sinks the heart is weak.
    2. Cure for warts.
    If you find a snail unexpectedly and rub it over each wart three times, making the sign of the cross each time, put it on a bush and as the snail withers the warts wither.
    3. Cure for whooping cough.
    If you meet a man with a white horse, ask him to tell you to do something and if you do it the whooping cough will be cured.
    4. Cure for mumps.
    If the person who has the mumps put the ass's winkers on his or her neck and let some person drive him or her round the piggery three times this person is supposed to be cured.
    5. Cure for a burn.
    Shake soda over the burn and it will not blister.
