    Con McHugh of Shanwally Kinawley was annoyed by a greedy bailiff who was taking possession of his land and cutting his corn. He walked to Dublin a distance of 100 miles-to put this case before the landlord. He did the journey in 24 hours and walked back in another 24 hours without a night's rest.
    Frank Maguire of same townland walked to Stradone about 27 miles away and back on a Winter's day. He carried a 2 cwt bag of meal from the shop for the last mile and his son a boy of 12 years old on top of that.
    Robert Crawford of Kinawley when 70 years of age walked from there to the Market Cross in Enniskillen 13 miles in 1 1/4 hours.
    '' Soople '' Corrigan a famous high wayman in this district was chased by the Yeos and ran 4 miles to the Scilles river. He leaped across it at a spot 50 ft wide. The soldiers were not able
