  1. "Travelling people" sometimes call to my home but in years gone by they came more frequently and in greater numbers. Some of them are very poor and they travel from house to house selling small articles such as pictures, statues, laces, brooches and various other useful articles. Most of them travel in caravans which are drawn by horses or donkeys and it is in those vans they cook their meals and sleep. They get alms from the people of the district in which they stay. The usual alms they accept are bread, milk, tea, sugar and many others. They stay for a couple of days in one place then they move on to another place where they stay for a short period and in this way they travel from place to place and at different intervals they return to the places first occupied by them. The travellers who most frequently visit this district are Caseys and Cashs.
