In Ballylennon there is a fairy ring. It is on Mr Roe's land. The ring is situated on the middle of the field. There are white- thorn bushes growing in the centre of the ring. The fairies are seen dancing around this at a certain hour of the night. A man named Mr. Pat Mangan was coming home late from town. He had bought a new pair of boots. As he came near the ring, he saw lights and he heard music. A fairy woman come out and asked him to dance. He left the boots down and went in. When he was going home, he went to look for his boots but they were gone. He had to go home without them. Next morning when he got up, the boots were in his window. There is also a for field in Ballyowen. These fairy places were supposed to be built in the time of the Dane to protect their treasures.
