    In a field belonging to Mike Doyle of Monbeg there is a Mass Rock. It was very securely sheltered from the prying eyes of the priest-hunters. One day when the priest arrived from the Still (where he lived) a small pool of water was found on top of the rock, and when someone went to brush it off the priest said "Leave it there" and he blessed the water and said "Forever more this will be a cure for warts", and from that day to this people come from all over the country to get rid of warts. To this day the stone is called "The Wart Stone".
