    The following is a description of how the game of Marbles is played in this district.

    The first thing is to "Pink", that is to throw up the marble from a line called "Tips" which is about six feet from the first hole.
    The person whose marble gets nearest the hole is first shot all through the game.
    Then they all take up their marbles and throw in turn from Tips to the first hole.
    The way to throw a marble is to put the knuckleson the ground.
    Hold marble between first fimger and thumb with the latter behind the marble.
    Then push thumb forward and in doing so it pushes the marble off the finger and it runs along the ground.
    When the first person gets his marble into the hole he tries to stop the others from getting in by hitting the other marbles with his.
    When a player hits another player's marble he gets another shot.
    When everyone gets the first hole they throw up to the second hole.
