- In the townland of Monedarragh there are two forts and they are of a circular shape.
There forts were built by the Danes and it is said that there no forts in Ulster because the Danes never entered it.
There are a lot of stories told about people who interfered with these forts.
One day a man went to cut bushes in a fort. When he was a while cutting he heard a voice saying
"Woodman now, forbear thy stroke don't touch one single bough for when I was young it sheltered me and I protect it now.
