    In Tubberpatrick graveyard, there lies a green grave,
    Of a hero who died, a patriot brave,
    His name is ne'r mentioned, except by the few
    Who loved the old Green at the Orange and Blue.
    2.
    When I was a youth, I remember one day,
    To visit that lone spot, I rambled that day.
    I rambled that way, I being but a child,
    Along the yon lake, neath the crag-covered wild.
    3.
    I entered the lone spot, the loved grave to see,
    The grave that was dearer than any to me.
    In the midst of the cloister, grey-headed and bare,
    Knelt an old man there sighing as he uttered a prayer.
    4. He (I?) slowly moved forward, he beckoned me nigh,
    He grasped my young hand & he said with a sign,
    "Son, this is the grave of the West-man so true,
    Who fought 'neath the green at the Orange & Blue.
