“Irish homesteads like those of the Indians are noted for their collection of domestic animals.”
Irish homesteads like those of the Indians are noted for their collection of domestic animals. Like the Indian homestead too, the chief animal in the Irish home is the dog. There are a large number of breeds of dogs and there are some of a non-descript breed. The oldest breed is the Greyhound. Greyhounds are of various colours including brindle, fawn, black, and white.
Another common breed is the collie, and the most common colours are, black, red, and white.
Other breeds which are fairly common are, kerry-blues, red-setters, wheaten terriers and fox terriers.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
