    1) sick person to eat ferret's leavings
    2) get leavings left by white horse - bring to nearest county lodge.(?) Boil (?) it there - Give to child to eat after he has walked three times underneath the horse!
    3) go to the owner of white horse - ask cure - put the child under horse three times - and do as the owner tells you.
    4) get child's god-father (?) to tie red ribbon around child's neck.

    TOOTH-ACHE
    sea-weed roasted and applied to face

    WARTS
    1) bathe in iron water got from forge
    2) get a black anvil - rub to wart
    3) put snail on a thorny bush - By time he has decayed warts will have disappeared!
    4) get three gooseberry thorns. Point each three times to each wart - "In name of Father etc!"
    5) dip warts nine times in water which collects in hollow of an old tree.
    6) dip warts in froth of boiling potato water.
    7) put a small stone for each wart in a paper-bag. Go to nearest bridge - throw bag over left shoulder. Whoever finds it will take the warts.

    STYE ON EYE
    1) bathe eye in strong tea
    2) pluck 10 gooseberry thorns. Throw one away. Point other nine to stye - In name of Father etc! Throw them away. By time they have decayed stye WILL BE GONE!
