- This field is situated in the district of Arch-Hall and it got its name from men who saw a ghost under a big ash tree one night. The night was very dark and late and as the men were going home they heard a voice as if it was some one driving some animals. The men were surprised to hear anyone out that late but when one of the men said that it was the man that brought the cattle to the fair and that he was getting them ready. Then they suggested to go out to the field and help the man to the animals out on the road.
When they went to the gate they saw some big white thing standing at the ash tree and they were surprised as they knew that the man would not have on a white garment. When they went in through the field they could see no cattle or man but they said the white figure vanished through the tree.
These two men got very much afraid and they began to run very quickly and when they were passing by the tree the figure was gone. When they reached the road(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
