- Up to a few years ago side cars were used on wedding mornings. These cars brought all the parties to the church.
After the wedding rice was shaken on the married pair. When the breakfast was over all went for a long drive round the country in side cars.
The day was spent driving and feasting. That evening a dance to the tune of fiddles and melodeons was held.
It is considerd unlucky for a bride to go back to her own mother's home for a month.
- An old shoe is sometimes tied on to the car.
The bride is to wear -"Something old and something new.
