    This well has the cure of vomiting and the pain in the head.
    St Colmcille. When St Colmcille stood against a stone the print of his head was marked on the stone. This stone is in Kells at present.

    In olden times when Saint Bridget was a little girl she was very beautiful. The soldiers followed her from Slane along the Boyne to Murrays house of Ardsallah near Navan, then owned by MacCans. When they caught upon her she was but an old woman.
    When they caught up to her they passed her by. They did not know her, they thought she was a poor woman and kept on
