Sheans' ault in the townland of Struinogh, Collon, Co Louth is the most noted of these, one evening two men went for a long walk, and finding it getting dark they said "ah! we will take the short cut home this evening" which meant past the ault, by then darkness had already fallen, "whist! said one here's 'the wee men' right enough they were coming, playing the sweetest music ever heard on instruments like pipes.
After some time listening they decided to go home, but were unable, everywhere they went appeared a river, or some other hindrance in front of them, and all the while the music played, and the "wee men" laughed at how "quare" they looked.
