  1. McGuane of Gleann na gCaor able to knock thirty acres in thirty pieces of days.
    Worked at task work + his reward was a shilling per acre + his support which consisted of eggs + potatoes + milk.
    He had a fairly strong child in meadow with him to carry him a coal when he needed a smoke. He mowed whilst he smoked.
    McMahon of Kilfenora, still living in a labourer's cottage often encircled an acre per day. The breadth + length of ? taken that enabled McMahon to get through all the work. He went by the name of "Tear-away".
