- It is said that there is a pot of gold hidden between the post office at Kilnaboy and the Cabhail Mhór which is situated on the left bank of the Fergus about a half mile from the post office. Bees are supposed to be minding it. If you go to it during the Elevation of the Sacred Host you can get it. It is said that three men attempted to dig it before the Elevation and that the bees nearly stung them to death.
