   fort on the hill west of botha wher Billy Griffey lives now and came to a high wall and many were killed,while the foremost of the vanquished tried to make a gap to pass through to Druim a'Teicheadh .The scene of the battle is now the townland of "Druim an Áir ,"The hill of the slaughter".The story goes that some days after the event a local farmer built up the part of the boundary wall which was knocked by the soldiers ,but that he was on that very night forced out of bed by some hypnotic influence and persuaded to go to the wall which he had just mended,and was compelled by that same force to cast down every stone and clod of earth he had used in filling the gaps.
   A strange fact is that the gaps had on several occasions been repaired but had always been knocked down again ,and so it can be seen today.
   On anothe hill or druim in the vicinity to the south of Druim an Áir the bodies of the slain were interred and the place today is a collection of nameless flags, and is used as a burial ground for unbaptised children .it is known as Drimanure.
