    The travelling people who most frequent my home are the Carthies from Cashel. They are a very old tribe of people. There was a king in Cashel long ago named McCarthy. They follow fairs from town to town and whenever there is a fair in Thurles they are sure to come around the district for about a week. Then they go on to another district. They are not very poor as they are always selling asses and horses, and they have big vans to sleep in. They are often selling articles such as delph or pictures and many other things. People often buy from them for charity. Sometimes they buy food and other times people
