    There are several old forts in the school district, two in Lisboney about two miles from Nenagh....

    are fenced by high banks of earth on which large white thorn uishes grow.
    The fort in Tullaheady has a tunnel entrance to it. but it is not known if anyone ventured to explore it. But at night time lights have been seen in this fort by people passing through to Ballintoher and cries have been heard. They are believed to be the Banshee but these are only heard when some member of a particular family in the district was seriously ill or dying.
    There is a fort situated in Ballycahill now occupied by my Grandfather. In this fort there was a tree growing. One
