    My home district is called Ballywilliam and is in the townland of Burgess Beg and in the Barony of Owney and Arra.
    There are numerous families in my District, there are many people having the same surname but the most common name is McGrath.
    Most houses nowadays are slated but long ago they were all thatched because it was more comfortable and cheaper. There are more thatched houses than slated
