    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    A series of ring forts composed of earth and stone can be traced almost in a straight line across the district.
    Names
    (1) Carrig View
    (2) Vermount
    (3) Clarina
    (4) Elm Park
    Old people tell me that they were constructed by a tribe known as the Caoille , who were supposed to be pirates , and who landed in boats fro the Shannon and made their abode in the district for a number of years.
    A churchyard in this district called KilKeedy , they say is a corruption of Teampall na Caoille
