- Marriage Customs in Cappamore Marriages in this parish take place most frequently during Shrove. Shrove Tuesday was a very popular day for weddings some years ago. The lucky days are supposed to be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and June is considered the luckiest month in the year, and July the unluckiest.
On the morning of the wedding the bride is supposed to be at the church before the bridegroom.
