    down the town for goods. She was walking along the wall and one of the stones fell from under her leg and she fell into the snow. A woman named Mrs. Ryan saved her life and she was laid up for a week.
    My grandfather had to cut a path through the snow so as to get down to the town for goods. The snow was on the ground for a week and it could not be removed. Hundreds of sheep and cattle were also frozen in the snow.
