    Ballinagaul - towland of the foreigner. East of Bally-Culhane.
    Bally-Culhane - (Baile Ui Coileain) Collins' townsland, situated north of Bally-Coughlan, and principally on the Shannon valley. The land is of a fertile kind, and seems to be occupied from a very early period. A great number of earthen forts are to be seen.
    Some distance west of it, is Cill Murrily - (Cill Muire), ruins of an ancient church - disused burial ground - not used for the last
    100 years. Built in 6th or 7th century. It was closed by Lord Kilchener.
