- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)never dig a grave on a Monday because it is said you will be burying people for the rest of the week. If a person is to be buried on Monday the sod must be taken off on Sunday.
- There is a fort in Garryoughtra Mogeely. It was used by the Danes as a fortification. Forts are not supposed to be interfered with in any way. Some years ago some men tried to plough this fort. They succeeded in doing so for a day but after that, they were not able to finish it as they got sick for six months. It was never interfered with since. This fort is used now as a feeding place for the hounds. If an animal dies it is taken to the fort.
