  1. Cooper Stowell in Gurrane townland of whom mention has already been made was a contemporary of Horace Townsend in Firmount townland and Morgan O'Brien was P.P. at the same time.
Crofton was a landlord in Goulane and Pluckanes was share betwen two landlords named Bennet and French. Up to recently the title "Pluckanes Bennet" designated the former's territory and "Pluckanes French" was applied to the other section.
French built Aughadillane Courthouse, now disused and brought the first police to Donoughmore, building a local barracks at Aughadillane, which is long since vacated. He lived in the residence now occupied by Mr. Clark Rochill and also built "Millard's house for the minister.
Townsend seems to have built Firmount House. His agent was named Creagh (pronounced Cré).
Townsends estate was Curragh, Coolmore, and Rathcoola. I would say Creagh lived till 1860. He came to Firmount House after Townsend.
